INSTITUTE OF CATECHETICS WORKS WITH TALKSHOP
The Institute of Catechetics of the Archdiocese of Manila (ICAM) taps the services of TalkShop anew. Following the successful outcome of the previous years’ programs, the TalkShop design for the year is geared at improving the English proficiency of the religious and lay ministers as they begin their catechetical formation. Located in San Carlos Formation Center, the institute serves as training ground for the religious, missionaries, and teachers who undergo their vocation formation. TalkShop program runs for 4 days as participants prepare for their formation classes. In attendance were nuns, novices, lay missionaries from different countries and congregations who take active part in speech, grammar classes, and speech lab training covering accent and articulation techniques.
Sheila Viesca, TalkShop CEO and Director of Communication designs the comprehensive module focused on improving communication and personality. Sr. Soila Lora, ICAM Program Director said, “TalkShop provides a module that teaches educators and the religious to bring out their best in any communication situation so that they may voice clarity and meaning which are integral in the catechists’ role of preaching and evangelization.”
